Why You Need Branded Masks

Why You Need Branded Masks

With Covid-19 continuing to spread, masks are now a necessity in consumer’s daily lives. As we all know, most places now require wearing a mask before entering a building to maximize our safety and prevent the spread of the virus. Another thing to note is that we are also aware that businesses – whether small or large – are greatly affected by the pandemic. If you own, operate, or manage a business, you’ve come to the right spot. As consumers are becoming more aware and skeptical of their safety, you might be asking yourself “Is it time to invest in branded masks?”. The answer to this question is “Absolutely”. In this blog, we will be discussing the potential and opportunities that advertised masks offer. This blog is supported by a study done by the ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute), in which we are proud to be a member.

The ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute) has released a new study called the 2020 ASI Ad Impressions containing key takeaways about masks. Stats show that 63% of consumers wear masks all of the time when in public. 80% of consumers wear them all or most of the time and 92% of consumers wear masks in public at least some of the time.

Branded Mask Potential

ASI reported that 61% of consumers do not own a logoed mask. 71% of these consumers would use their logoed masks on a weekly basis. 31% of consumers also come in contact with over 50 people every time they wear a logoed mask. As a business, investing in a high-quality mask can provide your existing or future customers some comfort when they wear your brand. Not only that, but you can also portray that your company is environmentally friendly and avoid disposable masks as they are starting to become a problem for the environment.

Return on Investment of Masks

Masks can be used to give out to employees or clients for appreciation. Providing branded masks shows them you care about their safety and well-being. In a course of its lifetime, promo masks generate 4,235 impressions. An imprint mask that costs $5 will have a CPI (Cost Per Impression) of just over 1/10 of a cent. 51% of consumers also have a more favorable opinion of an advertiser who gave them a logoed mask. 57% of consumers would be more likely to do business with the advertiser who gave them a promo mask.
